I am a passionate and motivated journalist & researcher with a deep interest in culture, politics, and immigration histories. I’ve been writing as a journalist for the past five years, on topics as varied as the feminist history of punk, historic Parisian heatwaves, and the day-to-day lives of Syrian refugees living in Greece. My work has been featured in a broad range of print publications, such as the Guardian award-winning Oxymoron, The Daily Californian, and Abstract Magazine.
In 2018, I moved into audio work at World Radio Paris, France’s premier English-language station and its only NPR & BBC syndicate. Currently, I produce and host When The Water Is Safer Than The Land, a ten-part series following the political & geographical journeys migrants & refugees face as they try to reach the EU. Our first episode airs on World Radio Paris 10/15.
I also work as a freelance sound engineer and producer, and am available for tape syncs throughout the Northern and Southern California region. Drop me a line if you need help!
(Until 2015, I published work under the surname Allen, rather than Adams.)
